school started about one week ago. i was very apprehensive about school and waking up early and the sec 4 year end exams before the holiday was over, but i guess it all turned out okay (:

granted, going to school means waking up early and dragging yourself to the bus stop to board the bus to school, making sure you understand every word that is said during class AND READING UP ON TOPICS YOURSELF. that is tiring. but it somehow also gives me a sense of purpose. it gives me the feeling that i'm doing the right thing. i feel that it is what i ought to do.

so, well, our class had an almost complete change of teachers. the only 2 teachers who continued taking our class were foo ling ling and teo poh poh. we were joking that both of these teachers had a repeat word in their name, and that is why they had to "repeat" teaching our class again >.<

math has been split into math 1 and math 2. i don't really see the actual difference between this and doubling your math gpa. i mean, if they are going to give the same questions, with the easier ones in math 1 and the more difficult ones in math 2, you are still going to get the same score right? just that you get an average score for the normal math paper while you get a high score for math and a low score for math 2. in which case high + low = medium, which still makes you average.

ohh yes and they split each chinese class into 3 classes, with A being the worse and C being the best. i don't know why they did it all of a sudden, without forewarning us or anything -.- yeahh. so i ended up in B with my CLE teacher doubling up as my HCL teacher. bleah.

what else ... they're giving us a maths test covering almost all of the sec 3 chapters (excluding statistics) just 2 weeks into school! which is next week! if not for my dialogue over msn with a classmate i wouldn't even have known! (my classmate knew about the impending surprise test from her senior). and what's interesting (and harrowing at thesame time) about it is that it will constitute 8% of my final grade for maths!

*cusses, using all the expletives she can think of*

oh well, discussing the impending test just makes me more nervous about it. i shall now stop the time wasting activity of blogging and continue revising trigonometry.
